The primary ingredient in 4 The Birds is polybutene, which is used in chewing gum and lipstick. It creates a tacky, sticky surface where it is sprayed that birds don't like perching on. Once it is applied, birds will start avoiding the area.

 

If you need to remove 4 The Birds Liquid Repellent from a surface, you can use Safety Solvent Cleaner (purchasable here) to dissolve the sticky substance.

 

Note: Follow all instructions carefully when using this product. It is non-lethal when used as directed, but if used otherwise could result in smaller birds becoming fatally entrapped in the sticky substance, which may be in violation of the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.
